If I'm not mistaken, this tweet came shortly after he experienced what must have been the profound joy of transmitting something closely resembling his own voice, even though his real voice had been temporarily or permanently damaged by cancer surgery. He could type a message into some special computer software which has just been developed to sample previous recordings of your voice and then manufacture sounds as close as possible to your own. Sort of like a very sophisticated DRAGON on steroids?
