ReplyDeleteWestminster put the play on a few years ago. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the way of audience preparation, so it went right over most people's heads. I had read the play carefully (for me) the prior summer, so I was ready to go and loved it.
ReplyDeleteAfter the play was over, I was talking to a student of mine who had played Thomasina, and played her wonderfully. She said, very matter-of-factly, that she'd had no idea what she was talking about most of the time. Sigh.
