Bullets have very little momentum, relative to a human being. A 10 g bullet traveling at 400 m/s has 4 kgm/s of momentum. That would cause a recoil velocity of about .06 m/s in a 154 lb (70 kg) person. Noticeable, but not much at all with a little training and balance.
